ANDDDDD I’m sick again.

yay me.

It all started two weeks ago with a very bad cold that knocked me on my butt so bad that I actually had to call out of work and literally lay in bed all day. Then I recovered to then get some weird 24 hour stomach bug right after Christmas, but luckily recovered in time to celebrate NYE’s. Then I come home from the gym last night and discover my throat is hurting, my nose is running, I start sneezing….it was all downhill from there, and have developed a full-blown cold during the workday today. And rather than focusing on my health, all I can think is how my sickness streak is really cramping my workout schedule (Get it? cramping/workout….it was a complete literary accident. I swear).

I carry a pretty aggressive workout schedule just because I just really enjoy it - Three days of 45 min. of spinning, followed by 30 min. of upper body weights; Two days a week I do a 4-mile run, followed by ab work, and sometimes I’ll throw in a Saturday session doing some dancing. But now with all this sickness flowing in my body, I can’t do anything because I have to r-e-s-t….which is what I’ve been doing for two weeks. I should’ve figured something was up with my body yesterday when I could barely make it through my workout.

My darling friend made me some Magic Mineral Broth that I’ve been drinking every morning the past couple of days to help my body restore from all the winter sick yuckiness & I have to be honest, I have felt a difference in that I have a bit more pep in my step, but it seems the Magic Mineral Broth does not help the body fight the common cold.

Any tips out there in the blogsophere on how to maintain one’s immune system during the winter months? Because I’m getting slammed with germs.
